Common questions
How accurate is the quick estimate?
It sizes a system from your bill and typical Mallorca production figures, and prices it from the ranges we see in installer quotes. Expect real quotes within about 15% either way. The roof mode is more precise because it uses your roof's actual area and orientation and live PVGIS production data.
Where does the satellite image come from?
From Spain's national aerial photography programme (PNOA), published by the Instituto Geográfico Nacional. It's updated every two to three years and sharp enough to see roof tiles.
What is PVGIS?
The European Commission's photovoltaic geographical information system. It estimates how much a solar system produces at an exact location, roof pitch and orientation from satellite irradiance records. Installers use it too.
Do you store my address?
No. The address you type is sent to our server to look up coordinates and production, and not stored with your identity. The estimate lives only in your browser unless you copy the link.
